Project Title:
The Status, Extent and Management of Invasive Bamboo Species in The Eastern Arc Mountains. A Case of Udzungwa Scarp Forest Reserve, Kilolo District, Iringa.

Project Description:
The purpose of the project is: (i) to assess the ecological distribution and abundance of bamboo species in the forest reserve (ii) identify the species and establish whether it is alien or indigenous (iii) to determine extent of invasion and impact on indigenous species and (iv) to develop management plans and control measures to reduce the bamboo invasion threat to other species.
